8 Completely Terrible Things to Do This Weekend in NYC... JK APRIL FOOLS

Sorry, guys. There's nothing cool going on in the city this weekend. You should probably just do laundry and catch up on paying bills.

There are actually so many dope things going down in NYC over the next few days, we're having trouble deciding how exactly we want to spend our April Fools weekend.

We put together a li'l listy list for you so you can decide for yourself. In the mood for decadent waffles or a bottomless mimosa disco dance party? We gotchu.

Want to expand your mind at the New York Public Library, then get all that new knowledge whacked out in an epic, citywide pillow fight? We gotchu.

Or you can just stay in and do laundry... but all joking aside, we don't recommend laying low this weekend. There's just too much to do!

Friday, March 31st

1. Wowfulls Grand Opening Weekend (309 E Houston Street)

The insanely popular, insanely delicious Hong Kong street waffle known as Gai Dàn Jai and packed with ice cream and ridiculous toppings used to only pop up here and there from Wowfulls, at events like Smorgasburg and Gov Ball.

BUT NO LONGER! Their first brick-and-mortar store is opening tomorrow in LES! Get in line now because the first 50 customers get a $1 Wowfull, and the first 200 customers get a free Wowfulls t-shirt and pin! Don't fret if you're not first in line—Wowfulls will be $5 all weekend to celebrate.

2. The Library After Hours: Women Marching Through History (NYPL 476 Fifth Avenue)

End your Women's Month with a bang at a free after hours party at the New York Public Library!

Billed as the "city's most cerebral happy hour", expect food and drink, music, performances, and behind the scenes access to the library's collections— You'll feel like Harry, Ron, and Hermione sneaking into restricted section after dark and you won't even need an invisibility cloak.

From 6:30-9pm, NYPL will curate exclusive displays of feminist manuscripts, rare books, photographs, artwork, and more, and will be playing a selection of 16mm films highlighting women’s issues throughout the evening. There will even be crafting and puzzle stations!!

Costumes are encouraged, so come dressed as your favorite suffragist, activist, or writer!
