The largest outdoor festival celebrating Taiwanese culture is back again this year, bringing visitors wonder and enrichment with Passport To Taiwan 2019. The celebration is set to include live performances from singers and artists from Taiwan, a food adventure featuring small traditional and modern bites and observe demos of dough making, calligraphy or other arts.

It’s going down at Mr. Wu’s basement, where hungry foodies can devour warm bowls of Shinka Ramen and sips of Sake. Time traveling Tommy will orchestrate the soundtrack, setting the tone for visitors to quench their thirst with Japanese-centric beverages ranging from beer to shochu and whiskeys. Menu items include Shinka’s pork shoulder ribs, pulled pork nachos, kimchi and yuzu salad. Don’t forget to order a large and comforting bowl of ramen, possibly their famous 14 hour chicken and pork Tonkatsu broth!

Experience musician Spencer Ludwig’s immersive live music performance, Le Trumpet, this Friday, April 26th beginning at 9pm at FREEHOLD Brooklyn. This will be a special Game of Thrones themed performance that will include a 20 piece brass band army, a sword swallower, an iron throne photo booth, dragons, dancers, drag queens and more.

The fourth installment of Slim Cinema Vertical Film Festival is back and it’s bigger than ever before, making it perfect for bonding and networking. This event promises screenings of original short films, displays from local artists and an explosion of great energy! NVR Sleep, Dj Mike Nasty and MOORESOUPLEASE will provide sounds all night to set the tone and there’ll also be bites and bar brews available for purchase.

Nerai is hosting a Greek Easter Eve celebration on Saturday, April 27th from 11:30 PM - 1:30 AM with live music and festive fare. Signature starters include Magiritsa, traditional Greek lamb offal and diced lettuce soup for $22, Soutzoukakia with aromatic meatballs in a tomato argue over herbed rice with crumbled manor cheese for $16. Entrees include Kokoretsi, a spit-roasted delicacy of baby lamb offal for $34, and Lavraki, a whole grilled loup de mer deboned, filleted and served with oregano, ladolemono, and capers for $38. Desserts include Kataifi Ekmek with vanilla custard, Chantilly cream and pistachios with mastiff gelato for $14 and a large cheese plate served with guava paste, confit kumquat, fresh figs and candied pecans for $24.

Kellari Hosts A Greek Dinner Experience (19 W 44th St, Manhattan @ 2 PM)

The Greek restaurant Kellari in Midtown is hosting a special 4 course Greek Easter dinner on Sunday, April 28th with live music starting at 2 PM. The Pre-Fixe menu is $69 per person and includes Lobster Bisque New England style and Magiritsa traditional Easter soup for the first course. The second course includes options such as Farm to Table Salad with Mesclun, baked carrots, potatoes, chickpeas and hazelnut vinaigrette, Croketes including zucchini fritters with a mild spiced coulis, and Hortopita including Fillo pies filled with Swiss chard, spinach, looks and aromatic herbs. Main course dishes include Corfu Shrimp with pan seared shrimp over wild mushroom risotto, Organic Amish Chicken with lemon and rosemary with grilled local vegetables, and Easter Lamb including spit roasted baby lamb served with oven roasted lemon. The final course includes a signature homemade dessert platter for the table. A La Carte is also available.
