As November ends and the holiday season draws near, NYC becomes a spectacular light show.

The tree at Rockefeller Center, the Macy’s window displays and even the house on the corner all dazzle with an array of lights. It may be cold out, but don’t you want to enjoy the holidays while they’re still here?

Friday November 30th

The Nutcracker (230 Vesey St @ 7 PM)

One of the most celebrated ballet’s of all time, this performance will kick off your December right. There are no tickets as it is a free performance, but seats are on a first come first serve basis. Performed at Brookfield Place, you can get holiday shopping done at the same time!


New York Motorcycle Show (655 W 34th St @ 2 PM)

The Javits Center is a huge venue, so why not put it to use? Motorcycles of every make and model, from around the world are on display. New high-tech ones as well as some old classics you might never get another chance to see. 

And of course, there are going to be plenty of Harley’s.


Christas Carol Cocktails (358 West 44th St @ 5 PM)

This is more than just a performance of a Christmas Carol. 

The ticket includes 3 cocktails, so that’s already a step in the right direction. Plenty of recipes on the best holiday drinks, this show gives you more than you could hope for.


A Holiday Doo Wop Spectacular (35 Hyatt St @ 8 PM)

It isn’t just Christmas music that gets more play during the holiday season! Plenty of jazz and doo-wop bands get more play time and this event at the St. George Theater in Staten Island is one of the biggest!

Featured here before for their great ice cream, Tipsy Scoops has a holiday special! Fun treats like gingerbread men can be included into your ice cream for a fun holiday spin. 

And you even get to bring it all home.


First Saturdays at the Brooklyn Museum (200 Eastern Pkwy @ 5 PM)

Target sponsors the first Saturday of every month at the Brooklyn Museum, providing free entry into the museum as well as parties and performances. Bars are located around the museum and this month has lots of hands-on art events as well as r&b performances.

This year’s special treats include fresh buffalo mozzarella stretching by Chef Roberto Caporuscio, fondue parmigiana by Chef Hugue Dufour of the critically acclaimed M. Wells Steakhouse and a squash gnocci with Cheddar Beurre Blanc Sauce by Chef Alfonso Zhicay of Casa Del Chef Bistro with Vermont’s Cabot Creamery.
