Greenpoint Open Studios is a well-known organization providing a free and open space for local artists to build, engage, and support the creative community in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

This weekend, hundreds of artists and designers open up their studios to the public allowing you to explore and mingle with awesome artists.

Enjoy sounds by  Mike Bhaiya + Hongo1, Jules & The Jinks, and a live DJ sets along with drinks and tacos as you wander through the art.

This Friday, Schomburg Center is kicking off LGBT PRide Month with their third annual First Friday: Gay Pride Edition and with recognition of their In the Life Archive, an inspirational collection of materials of the Black LGBT community.

It's the festival's 36th year and they are planning out to dish out 3 tons (40,000 pounds) of ice-cream!
