Friday, April 19

Free Comedy Show ( 162 W. 4th St, Manhattan @ 7 PM)

In the heart of the village, this absolutely free show kicks off the weekend for us. The show in the lowest level of the O.P.P.A features talent from productions like The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, TruTV and Comedy Central. There will be a bar serving wine, beer or small bites for purchase for guest (must be 21+).

TRAP Karaoke (52-19 Flushing Ave Queens @ 8 PM)

The karaoke classics are always good but so is belting the lyrics to something more recent, how about some Trap hits? The Knockdown Center is hosting TRAP Karaoke, an event dedicated to comunity empowerment and the creation of a space that is safe for individuals to connect.

Vivid Compositions: Shiri Achu Exhibit (2504 Frederick Douglass Boulevard @ 4 PM)

Shiri Achu creates artwork that is collective of her long education in different mediums such as acrylics, oils, mix media, and watercolors. After studying architecture at Cardiff University and obtaining an A* & A at GCSE, she’s since settled on acrylics and oils. Shiri will be present at the opening of her Vivid Compositions Exhibit in Harlem, for a brief talk about her works.

Saturday, April 20

Sip! Shop! Eat! ( 272 Seigel Street, Brooklyn @ 12 PM)

In the return of this amazing event, “Sip! Shop! Eat!” is welcoming creators, fashionistas, and adventures to come by and enjoy the experience. With previous events featuring cool photo ops with tons or props, vendors selling handmade jewelry, threads, a manicure station, snack bar, samples from Breukelen Rub and drinks, there’s sure to be plenty to do.

Patches And Pins Expo ( West 639 West 46th Street, Manhattan @ 12 PM)

There’s no easier way to personalize a bag than with a pin. Since 2015, Patches and Pins has remained a pillar of connection between creators and collectors. Pins, patches, artwork and fashion cross paths in this unique expo, featuring handmade pieces all for sale. The event hosts will be gifting free pins to the first 200 attendees in line.

Higher Etiquette Live! Exploring The World Of Cannabis ( 520 Broadway, Manhattan @ 10 AM)

Join Higher Etiquette for this live discussion, an opportunity to listen in and watch speakers Lizzie Post, Denis Zabludovsky and Boris Scharansky discuss the world of cannabis today. The panel will talk about the topics of CBD and legalized weed. The audience will also have access to CBD cocktails, Flower Power Coffee and massages from Papa & Barkley.

Harlem Shake announces, Summer Haze, a CBD infused milkshake with a lemonade inspired flavor. Available until July 31st this is one of four of Harlem Shake's summer flavors. Others include the Wine Zinfandel 'Boozy Shake', Banana Cream Pie Milkshake featuring Bourbon Candied Pecans, and a Salted Caramel Pretzel Shake. 

Sunday, April 21

BFM Brewery & TøRST Easter Dinner (615 Manhattan Avenue, Brooklyn @ 6:30 PM)

On Easter Sunday, BFM will be helping TøRST host a lovely four-course prix fixe dinner. The optional beer pairing will accompany the flavors of the unique brews from Brasserie des Franches Montagnes. The brewery, based in the Jura mountain region of Switzerland called Saignelegier, has expanded for the last 21 years but carries with it Jérôme Rebetez initial training in enology.

Protect Yo HeART Sip & Paint ( 147 Front Street, Brooklyn @ 11 AM)

Painting is one of many creative activities that can have a beneficial effect on mental and emotional health. The UN Space on Front Street in Dumbo is hosting a Sip and Paint event in two parts, the first catering to children and the last for adults. Stay after the final paint course to enjoy an additional segment called a paint mixer. The event collaborates with The AnkhsGiving Collective, an African organization celebrating life and love along with holistic life expert Kimistry.

Earth Love Festival ( 99 Scott Avenue, Brooklyn @ 12 PM)

In honor of sustainability and going green, the Earth Love Festival day party highlights green initiatives and t’s figures the fun way. Party-goers are invited to explore eco conscious art exhibits, artisan vendors, educational panels, music, and a dance floor.
