If you're ever in New York City and looking for a rooftop experience like no other, The Skylark is hands down one of the most stunning spots I’ve ever visited. Perched 30 stories above Midtown Manhattan, it offers breathtaking views of the Hudson River, Times Square, and, of course, the Empire State Building. I had the pleasure of visiting recently, and was astonished.
From the moment I walked in, I was wowed. I grabbed a window-facing table for me and a friend, and I could hardly believe the view —floor-to-ceiling windows that provided a view of the entire skyline. It was hard to take my eyes off the Empire State Building, which looked even more epic lit up against the night sky. It felt like I was on top of the world when I stepped out onto the terrace which provided insane photo opts.
As for the food, I was in heaven. The new seasonal menu is full of bold, fresh flavors that are made for sharing—and I couldn't resist diving into a few of the standout dishes. The Jerk Chicken Gougère was absolutely incredible. The pimiento aioli and mango salsa gave it this perfect balance of heat and sweetness that I just couldn't get enough of. I could’ve eaten the whole platter myself!
I also tried the Hummus Platter, and wow, it was just as amazing. The hummus was so creamy, paired with seasonal crudités, olives, and pita, making each bite feel fresh and vibrant. It’s the kind of dish that makes you want to share with friends, but also makes you wish you could keep it all to yourself. Of course, I couldn’t leave without trying one of their signature cocktails. The Winter Spiced Old-Fashioned was the perfect pick—warm, aromatic, and just the right amount of spice. It paired so well with the bites I was having, and honestly, it was the perfect drink to sip on while soaking in those views.
