They always say the best things in life are free... but this seems just too good to be true!
The Roots were recently announced as the headliners for the sixth annual Lowdown Hudson Music Fest.
We love a good outdoor activity, but a totally free outdoor concert on the waterfront? Now that's what we're talkin' about.
The Lowdown Hudson Music Fest is a free two-day concert series on Brookfield Place's waterfront that features bands with bluesy tunes.
For those of you who may not be familiar with The Roots - just check out any episode of The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon - they've been his signature house band since 2009.
Of course, you should know The Roots because, well, music is good and they've made a sh*t ton for the last couple of DECADES.
Their jaz-fueled hip-hop has landed them a slot as the headlining group for the July 12th date of the series, with Brooklyn-based Afrobeat group, Antibalas, as their opening act.
The concert series will also feature the incomparable talents of the Drive-By Truckers July 13th, which will also feature Rayland Baxter, and Valerie June.
