Things got a little wild on the New York City subway today-- literally.
On Sunday, hundreds of New Yorkers participated in the annual No Pants Subway Ride event.
The event started 15 years ago as a prank by a group of friends who thought it would be funny to ride the subway without wearing pants. Since then, it has become an internationally-celebrated event-- literally.

mikeybnguyen Today is the annual #NoPantsSubwayRide day. Originally started in New York in 2002 by Improv Everywhere, it's since become an international phenomenon as #flashmobs worldwide strip off their pants while riding the underground rapid transit. Doing a rough count there were about a 100 participants in the #Dallas flash mob. The original meeting point and briefing was at Union Station. From there they rode to Cityplace/Uptown Station where the group stopped to take pictures. After that, they were split into two groups, one heading toward Plano on the Red Line, the other toward Rowlett on the Blue Line. oh_boy_ I think No Pants SubwayRide is the best stress relief and mood booster. Some people were complaining, some were looking with contempt, but most of strangers were smiling and laughing. I don't know a person who wouldn't feel better after taking off their pants in public (being serious now).
