Watch #PizzaRat Drag a Dead Rat Through This NYC Subway Station | spoiled NYC

You remember PizzaRat, don't you?

We're sure you do, but here's a refresher: Pizza rat is the rat that swept up a storm in New York City by pulling a slice of pizza, easily twice its size, down a set of subway stairs.

Pizza rat quickly became an Instagram phenomenon, sparking rat taste tests, pizza rat tattoos, and pizza rat pranks against innocent New Yorkers on NYC's streets.

The result of all this was that plenty more NYC rats were treated to plenty more NYC pizza: two of the most NYC things we've got were combined into one cultural phenomenon.

Now, though, the pizza rat sensation has taken a turn for the worst.

What we understand from the video below is that rats have grown tired of our delicious, best-in-the-world pizza, and have instead turned to eating each other.

Is this reminiscent of the whole, "give them an inch, they'll take a mile" saying? Did rats get so used to the cushy reality of eating pizza, that they decided to strive for bigger and better and started consuming members of their population?

We don't know the answer to these questions. All we can do is hope that the live rat was dragging the dead rat down the stairs so it could mourn it, then bury it.

Watch the video below to see for yourself just how depraved the rats of NYC's subway system can be.
