MTA's new technology (NTT) rail cars were spotted arriving to the 207th Street rail yard on Tuesday night.
The cars are traveling 300 miles from manufacturer Bombardier’s factory in Plattsburgh, New York. They will be delivered one by one over five nights, a spokesman for MTA said. Once all five cars are in New York City, testing on MTA's test tracks will begin.
Next month, another five NTT cars will arrive.

The R179 trains will be assigned to the A/C, J/Z and M lines. Gov. Andrew Cuomo revealed renderings of the “reimagined” subway cars in July.
