The Film

The story follows Jon, a lifelong U.S. citizen, and his neighbor Fabián, a Mexican immigrant who has spent more than a decade waiting for progress on his asylum application, as their families navigate a deeply divided 2026 America and discover a renewed sense of shared humanity.

As Jon, Fabián, and their families move through uncertainty and turbulence, the audience is asked to look beyond labels and dissect what it means to be American, and, ultimately, a human being. The film’s music is an especially powerful part of that journey with 16 original songs that help carry viewers through some of its most impactful and emotional scenes, giving the characters room to process difficult questions about belonging, compassion, family, identity, and what we owe to one another.

The music feels woven into the storytelling, amplifying moments that might otherwise be difficult to put into words and giving the audience another way to move through the film’s heavier questions.

The Music

BROTHERHOOD is a Craftsman Films production commited to authentic storytelling that extends behind the camera as well. With cinematographer Oscar Ignacio Jiménez, production designer Frida Oliva, costume designer Edurne Fernandez, and choreographer Alan Salazar all bringing their own experiences as Mexican Americans to the project.

The production also includes 11 female department heads, with 36 of its 79 crew members identifying as women.

After seeing the film myself, I was particularly struck by how naturally the music moves the story forward, especially during the scenes that leave you sitting with questions long after they end.

It adds another emotional layer to a film that is ultimately about connection, empathy and the possibility of finding common ground. The BROTHERHOOD soundtrack is available now on Spotify and other major streaming platforms, so audiences can continue experiencing the music beyond the film itself.

BROTHERHOOD: A Cinematic Musical arrives in theaters October 9, 2026 and can be requested at your local theatre by submission at https://www.brotherhoodmovie.com/
