With December already more than halfway over, you might be getting blue when you think of the Christmas season coming to a close.
But if you want something festive, wintery, and fun to look forward to after all the presents have been opened and the ball dropped, no problemo!
Enter Valrhona’s third annual hot chocolate festival! It will take place from January 20th to February 5th of 2018.
For the occasion, some of New York’s best bakeries and coffee shops will be offering up exclusive new hot chocolate recipes.
You can take a look at the whole list on their website, but highlight participants include Dominique Ansel Bakery, Patisserie Chanson, and La Maison Du Chocolat.
And there’s even an unselfish side should you decide to indulge. 50 cents per cup purchased as part of the fest will work to support the nonprofit Careers through Culinary Arts Program's job training program for underprivileged students.
And if you’re a die-hard hot chocolate fanatic or looking for the perfect gift for one, you can take things to the next level and invest in some tickets to attend the festival’s kickoff party on January 18th at Ladurée in Soho.
$35, which will also support the C-CAP job training program, will get ticket holders access to unlimited samples of the debuting drinks, as well as pastries, juices, soda, and the chance to schmooze with the top chefs behind the fabulous creations.
