Today has been a stressful day for many of the American populace, especially New Yorkers.
But for many of us, today has not been a day of surrender to President Donald Trump but instead a wake up call to stand tall.
Stand against the messages of misogyny, racism, classism and discord that this election has dealt us and to let them know that we won’t let Trump break us apart every single day.
And thanks to a new art performance, we can do just that.
The public is invited to deliver the words "HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US" into a camera mounted on a wall outside the Museum of the Moving Image, New York, repeating the phrase as many times, and for as long as they wish.
The livestream had commenced at 9 a.m. on January 20th, 2017, the day of the inauguration of the 45th President of the United States.
LaBeouf is working with Nastja Säde Rönkkö and Luke Turner on this project, with whom he also collaborated on #ALLMYMOVIES and that thing where he hitchhiked for art.
If you tuned into the livestream earlier today, you'd have caught Jaden Smith leading the crowd in a chant of their mantra. We're sure saved footage is floating around somewhere.

Open to all, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the participatory performance will be live-streamed continuously for four years, or the duration of the presidency. The camera will be set up on the 37th street side of the museum at 36-01 35th Ave, Queens, NY 11106.
In this way, the mantra "HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US" acts as a show of resistance or insistence, opposition or optimism, guided by the spirit of each individual participant and the community.

You can view the livestream here. We saw what they did there, and we’re glad.
This public outcry is one of the many this weekend, along with the NYC Women’s March on Saturday January 21st.
