Get your cameras ready!

The longest day of the year is approaching and you have the chance to capture the best sunset right from Governors Island.

June 23rd is the longest day of the year, and Governors Island is staying open until 10 p.m.

Who wouldn't love kicking back, enjoying the weather, and watching the sky go from blue to pink?

For the second time this year, the park is staying open until 10 p.m, giving New Yorkers more than enough time to capture the perfect selfie.

So have fun NYC but not to much, you don't want to miss the last ferry back to the city.

This gives you a chance to explore the island, if you've never been– you'll definitely want to come back later in the summer.

Don't forget to pack a blanket and some tasty treats!
