That time of year is here again. When the city is even more beautiful than usual—glowy, festive and

Beyond the fact that 25 Days of Christmas will officially commence this Friday (December), there is also much else to look forward to. Things that involve summoning the courage to leave the warm comfort of your home.

But trust us, it'll be worth it. From holiday festive to Trap Music Brunches, these are all the wintery-fresh events happening this weekend!

Friday, December 1st

1. Tree Lighting Skate-tacular @ Bryant Park Rink (6 p.m.)

It seems that we've already gotten a head start on getting into the holiday spirit (as usual). But if you're already dreaming of a White Christmas, be a part of the tree lighting tradition at Bryant Park this Friday night!

This is one of those very touristy, traditional things that we'll bet tons of New Yorkers actually haven't yet gotten around to. So maybe it's your year to get in on the action.

2. First Fridays! StorySLAM in Collab with The Moth  @ The Bronx Museum (6 p.m.)

If you've yet to experience the NYC-famous, Moth StorySLAM, you may want to head over to 1040 Grand Concourse this Friday. Whether you're a writer yourself, looking to observe, or feeling randomly creative, you can participate or simply enjoy the show.

If you're unfamiliar with the event, it's an awesome and exciting collaboration of storytellers telling true stories to a live audience. In this edition, The Bronx Museum is working with The Moth to bring their own rendition to the stage. Reserve tickets by emailing

Saturday, December 2nd

3. Heated Winter Wonderland Beer Garden @ Loreley Beer Garden (Weekend-Long)
