November has arrived, and we now finally feel like good ole' autumn has kicked in.

In other news, if your musical interests are sort of all over the place, we're with you, and our concert suggestions for this month will in that case, NOT disappoint. 

We've got a ton of good shows coming to NY, from the Shins to Jay-Z, from MSG to smaller, casual venues. Do it up however you'd like, these are the shows we're most excited about. 

Check it out!

1. Courtney Barnett & Kurt Vile @ The Beacon (November 1st)

If you have yet to listen to Courtney Barnett & Kurt Vile, they are definitely a duo you'll want to take note of. They're currently on tour performing their new album; Lotta Sea Lice released just last month. The release was greeted very positively by fans, and now we're dying to see them live.

2. 50 Cent, T-Pain, Busta Rhymes & More @ Barclays Center (November 3rd)

This night will feature various rap artists, all collaborating for what is bound to be a great show. The full list of performers will be T Pain, Fabolous, Freeway, 50 Cent, Masters of Ceremony, The Lox, Beanie Sigel, Jeezy, and Busta Rhymes

3. The Shins @ Kings Theatre (November 3rd)

After a 5-year pause, the iconic Indie/Alternative/Folk rock band, The Shins' released the album; Heartworms, this past Spring. The release was accompanied by a wave of rave reviews and praise. Many are claiming it's the best work James Mercer, lead singer arguably sole official band member, has produced since The Shins' peak, following Oh, Inverted World, in 2001.  

Not only are The Shins coming to perform in Brooklyn this month, but they've been reaching out to fans asking that we partake in choosing the setlist for their shows. AND while you make your dream setlist here,  you also earn a chance at winning free tickets!

4. Grizzly Bear @ Brooklyn Steel (November 2nd-4th)

American Rock band from Brooklyn NY; Grizzly Bear, is bringing it home for three back to back concerts. The group just recently released a new album this past August, titled Painted Ruins, with a setlist that both stays true to their familiar style, while also taking on a slightly new sound that is really keeping things interesting.  

You'll definitely want to catch them at The Brooklyn Steel, grab those tickets!

5. Martin Sexton @ Murmrr Theatre (November 4th)

Martin Sexton kicked off his Fall tour this past September, just following the release of his live Album; Live at the Belly Up. And now he's coming to Brooklyn, with special guest; Animal Years.

6. Macklemore @ Terminal 5 (November 10th)

Macklemore has been throwing us hits left and right with the recent release of his album; Gemini, featuring various artists like Offset, Kesha, and Skylar Grey.

As we know, the artist has always been an activist, speaking out and producing work which reflects his concern for various social issues. He recently paired up with Plus1, donating $1 from every ticket sold towards combating racial and social injustice.

7. The Strumbellas @ Irving Plaza (November 11th)

The Strumbellas are making their way to NY and their show is sure to be as eclectic and unpredictable as their always exciting musical style. If you've yet to get into these guys, their feel-good, folky sound always makes for a great time, we recommend you check it out for yourself.

Not-so-fun-fact, you must be 16 or over to go, or come with an adult, tickets starting at only $35!

8. Dead and Company: The Grateful Dead/John Mayer Tour @ MSG (November 12th & 14th)

Were you aware that The Grateful Dead and John Mayer were touring together? You'd think people would be talking about this way more.

9. Tyler The Creator @ Terminal 5 (November 13th)


Tyler the Creator is coming to Terminal 5, on tour following the release of his album this past summer; Flower Boy. The album features various artists like Lil Wayne and Frank Ocean, which we can assume means some potential appearances at the show?? We shall see... Grab tickets here!

10. The Wild Reeds @ Mercury Lounge (November 13th)

While The Wild Reeds may not yet be on your musical radar, if you're a folk music connoisseur, you'll definitely want to get on board. Forming in 2010, the band's three members Sharon Silva, Kinsey Lee, and Mackenzie Howe, create a beautiful and soothing, while also upbeat harmony that'll blow you away.

11. Diplomats, A$AP Mob, Dj SpinKing, and Don Q @ Hammerstein Ballroom (November 21st)

This night will feature performances from multiple rap artists, with both Dipset and A$AP Mob are from right here in Harlem, NY.

AND Dipset haven't performed locally in over two years. So this is big. Get your tickets!

12. Bob Dylan @ The Beacon (November 20th-25th)

Bob Dylan is coming to The Beacon this November, performing six nights in a row, which thankfully gives you multiple opportunities to make the show. 

Though some of "us" are still a bit sour about him not showing up and surprising us at the Bob Dylan Tribute at Newport Folk Festival three summers ago... "We" are willing to settle the hatchet.

13. Jay-Z @ Barclays Cente (November 26th)


Jay-Z is on tour and coming to Barclays Center this month. If you missed him at the Meadows back in September, then this is definitely something to catch. Gotta catch a living legend when you still have a chance.

And we can only pray that one of the several artists featured in his 4:44 show up and join him on stage. Like, Beyonce perhaps?
