Perhaps one of the only good things to come from 2016 were the rise of Black Tap's insane milkshakes.

Because we're still talking about 2016 here, of course, the two hour lines that wound around the block of their original SoHo location were not so great.

Lucky for milkshake lovers all over NYC, however, Black Tap has been steadily expanding to spread the joy of 2000 calorie goodness (not that we're counting).

Their next stop, this spring, is at 55 Water Street in DUMBO, as a part of the Civil War-era building's rebrand as hip retail shops.

As reported by Gothamist, there are also more plans for a Lower East Side location by summer 2017.

These two new spots will bring their number of total locations to 6; like we said, they're originally from SoHo, have a second Broome Street location (Black Tap Down), and are also in Midtown and Meatpacking.

With that many, you're bound to be able to get in without having to spend a couple of hours outside in line first. Or, we can only hope.

It's getting to the point where we don't think you can call yourself a real foodie if you haven't 'grammed one of their over-the-top concoctions, so you better get on that before you lose your street cred.
