Oh You Fancy, Huh? You Can Now Reserve Seats in AMC's Manhattan Movie Theaters | spoiled NYC

The Manhattan movie experience just got a little more upmarket with AMC Theaters new reservation service.

As of Friday, September 2, AMC will allow customers to reserve their seating at its eight Manhattan locations, as well as its Kips Bay theater when it reopens after renovations.

Moviegoers can call dibs on those plush reclining chairs when purchasing tickets either online or at the box office.

“Reserved seating lets moviegoers pick the exact seat they want when they make their movie-going plans and provides our guests with the confidence that their specific seat will be waiting for them when they arrive at the theatre,” said John McDonald, executive vice president, U.S. Operations, AMC.

“As we look at markets where we can begin to make reserved seating prevalent, there’s no better place to start than Manhattan, where a trip to the movies often means a subway or cab ride.”

The reservation services is being rolled out at 125 of their theaters nationwide.
