Looking for a beach oasis in the middle of an urban jungle?
Surf Shack, NYC’s new rooftop bar, has you covered as it opens May 5. The pop-up rooftop beach bar at Good Story on the Arlo SoHo hotel roof features grilling stations and surf gear decor.
If you’ve never relaxed in a baby pool filled with beer, now you can at this SoHo bar. Just take a dip -- and a sip if you’re a risk-taker.
If you’re not keen on drinking pool beer, you can check out Surf Shack’s list of tiki cocktails, like classic margaritas or mai tais.
If you’re out for a super boozy night, opt for the bar’s extra-large, vodka-spiked Orangeade.
If you’re looking for some late-night eats, try the carnitas tacos or the burgers to accompany your refreshing resort-themed drinks. Or you can order an entire grilled fish for a summer-night bite.
The bar transforms every season with a new theme to celebrate the change in weather. Last winter, bar patrons sipped on warm Christmas-inspired drinks, like egg-nog and candy cane shooters, at the pop-up bar Winter Wonderland.
