Here's to the Cure! 11 Best Ways to Support Breast Cancer Research This October in NYC

15,000 New Yorkers are diagnosed with breast cancer every year and 1 in 8 women in the United States will be diagnosed in their life time.

In 2016, more than ever, we know it's important for women (and men) to educate themselves about screening, treatment, and support.

This October, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, NYC is home to some amazing fundraisers, all intent on providing community and raising money for the cure.

All of these events are going to be a blast―especially October 20th when we team up with our friends at HOOCH and the Susan G. Komen Foundation to kick cancer's ass.

Thursday night, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., we're heading down to the Hotel Chantelle on the Lower East Side for a happy hour of cocktails, good eats, and raffles with sick prizes.

It's not a free event, but 100% of the proceeds will go to Komen Greater NYC, so get your tickets here

Drink specials will also include two free cocktails for HOOCH users, and if you're not a member (only $10/month), use the code "komen," and you'll get your first month for $1―which will also be donated.

Celebrate all the survivors and the women we've lost this month by helping these guys reach their common goal to stop breast cancer, and know that your money will be going towards the best institutions that are committed to education and research.
