8 Super Dope Things to Do This Weekend in NYC

Get ready for one of the coolest four-day weekends NYC has to offer.

While many people think that all the fun is on Independence Day,  they are incredibly wrong. Take pride in telling them that.

NYC has way more to do than just trying to enjoy the fireworks while cramped next to way too many people and unsuccessfully avoiding all of the mosquitoes.

And with a weekend filled with parties on parties, why save the celebration for July 4th?

Whether you're partying all night long or kicking back with an eggloo, have a wonderful Fourth of July!

Friday, June 30th

1. Quiet Events Headphone Party

No one likes ringing ears, especially after a lit night.

This Friday from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m., enjoy quiet clubbing, (literally)! Say "Goodbye!" to an extremely loud speaker, and enter silence with just the flip of a switch on your headphones. With three DJs, great food and only $5-admission at this LIC party, you can't get an offer better than this.

2. Meadowlands State Fair

Venture out and be a kid again for a couple of hours.

Cotton candy, a ferris wheel and stuffed animals that are made from God knows where all contribute to your awesome time at the State Fair. As a fun night out with the family or a day out with bae, the fair at Meadowlands Sports Complex–which is in NJ for all those won't accept Giants Stadium is in NJ, not NYC–is the perfect place to go.

The fair only lasts until July 9th from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m., so don't miss out.

Saturday, July 1st

3. Klingande’s Playground Bounce Boat

You're going to need your sea legs for this unforgettable night of dancing until the dawn (or close enough to it).

Klingande's Playground is bringing its Bounce Boat to the Hudson from 10 p.m. to 4 p.m. Head to Pier 36 to jam to live music and DJ sets while you get the most beautiful views of the NYC skyline. Pick up your tickets here.

4. Eggloo Grand Opening BOGO

Satisfy your sweet tooth!

Indulge in your favorite sweets, and eat them all at once in your very own egg waffle. It's Independence weekend; you have all the freedom to go nuts...or sprinkles...or Pocky! Eggloo is opening a new location at 147 Ave. A, and we couldn't be more psyched!

Check out this new sweet spot, and don't forget to bring a friend. Unless you totally just want two eggloos to yourself. No one's judging.

Sunday, July 2nd

7. SummerFest Waterfront Day Party

Did someone say open bar?!

SummerFest is back and better than ever! With an open bar for the first hour (2 p.m - 3 p.m) and tickets at only $30, who would want to miss out on that? Sorry 20 year-olds, one more year, and you're officially legal, whatever that means.

Party hard from 3 p.m. 'til 11 p.m. at South Street Seaport's Pier 15.

8. MOMIX's Opus Cactus
