If you're anything like us, then when your head is saying gym, your heart (and stomach) are saying tacos! And you gotta listen to your body.

There's no shortage of good tacos in New York, and October 4th is the day to celebrate all that deliciousness, because October 4 is National Taco Day.

And to give you a good reason to eat those delicious tacos, here are eight places to celebrate with some of the most delicious tacos in NYC:

1. Ho'Brah: A Taco Joint (8618 3rd Avenue, Brooklyn & 412 Forest Avenue, Staten Island)

Sporting two outer-borough locations, Ho'Brah has its tacos figured out. Get the Sunset Pork taco (with chipotle orange pineapple pork) or the Classic Cali fish taco -- pair them with a frozen margarita flight and you''ll be in taco heaven.

2. Irvington (201 Park Avenue South)

Feeling a little adventurous on this joyous taco'ccasion?

These are the Tuna Tartare Tacos with smoked chipotle mayo - a refreshing burst in every bite! If you haven't been to Irvington yet, it's a celebrity hotspot inside of the W Hotel in Union Square and has some of the most delicious cocktails below 34th street!

3. Javelina (119 East 18th Street)

Sometimes tricky to snag a table at this spot but, when you do, get the brisket taco, get the shrimp taco, get the pork puffy taco, it's 'nacho' average taco -- live ya life!

4. Stanton Social (99 Stanton Street)

Stanton Social has a tropical take on this crispy hard shell fish taco. It's topped with creamy avocado and spicy mango relish. Pair it with a Velvet Glove cocktail or an East Side (tequila-based) Sangria.

5. Vandal (199 Bowery)

If you haven't already been to Vandal, you MUST go. The giant purple bunny and the Vandalized graffiti art are worth the trip alone!

Grab yourself a frozè (#ItsStill80º) and try these crispy cauliflower tacos. They're made of apple miso marinade, gochujang (spicy chili paste), and charred scallion salsa. They're veg-friendly but they pack a serious punch!

6. The Late Late (159 East Houston Street)

Swing over to The Late Late to grab these pork tacos -- Guinness braised pulled pork, Ballymaloe-guinness sauce and topped with malt vinegar slaw and radishes.

7. Horchata (470 6th Avenue)

While their steak, pork, and fish tacos are off the chain, from a non-vegetarian, TRUST ME when I say to give their Coles de Bruselas a try (brussels sprouts, spiced pumpkin seeds, poblano chile, cotija cheese, & crema fresca). You won't be able to have just one.

Happy Hour is also every Monday thru Friday with half-priced drinks from 4-7pm (Sangria, Wine, Frozens, & Mexican Beers on tap).

 8. Street Taco (358 3rd Avenue)

Ready for this one? Feeling daring? Keep the (taco) shellebration going over at Street Taco with their Pig Head Carnitas Taco made with chicharrones, avocado crema, onions, serrano salsa, and cilantro. I bet you'll LOVE it!

BTdubs, they also have churro donuts, goat cheesecake flan, frozen cocktails, and rosè sangria!
