Up All Night to Get Lucky: 7 Best Bars to Get Drunk on Your Next Date in NYC

Let's just be real: dates are freaking stressful.

They can definitely be super fun, and if nothing else, a great anecdote for future encounters. But for the majority of us, going on dates is all around anxiety-inducing.

What do we wear? Where do we take the person? What if they hate it? What if we run out of things to talk about? It's enough to drive anyone insane.

Dine is the best dating app for not only getting a date, but also knowing where to take that date.

A little prep beforehand though (and let's be honest, a little alcohol), can easily relieve us of some of this date-induced stress.

That's why there's Dine

Dine is the best dating app for not only getting a date, but also knowing where to take that date. It matches with you dates based on preferences, but it lets you request, receive, and go on dates based on the restaurants and bars you already love.

Lucky for you, we've compiled a list of New York City's best spots to go to for a date. You're welcome.

1. Casellula (401 West 52nd Street)

liebcellars

Who doesn't love wine and cheese?

It's basically a combination sent from the gods. And makes you feel classy AF. Your date will definitely be impressed.

What's even better, Casellula offers unique cheese pairings that will make your taste buds say "YAS." Nutella, salted caramel fudge, and apple chutney are just a few of the scrumptious goodies that come with your selection of cheeses.

Love Casellula? Good. It won't be hard to take a date there because so many people using Dine already love that spot too.

2. Angel's Share (8 Stuyvesant Street)

When it comes to cocktails, you're no rookie. You're looking for the best of the best; the most unique, presentational-- hell, even theatrical drinks you can find.

And with Dine, it's not difficult to find other New Yorkers with similar taste. You can quickly find other singles equally as excited to try badass speakeasies such as Angel's Share.

It's perfect spot for a cozy one on one, and the drinks definitely do not disappoint.

They're basically art. The must-try drinks include "Serenity" (grapefruit,  house-made lychee-cello, rose water) and and "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" (bourbon cocktail served in a smoke-infused glass). Yes please.

3. La Contenta (102 Norfolk Street)

If tequila is your thing, this place is basically heaven.

Chill atmosphere, amazing Mexican food, and some of the most incredible tequila-based cocktails all make for an ideal date spot.

Things you've got to try: the fish tacos, the guacamole, and the Mexican Firing Squad, a drink recipe that originated in Mexico City in 1937 consisting of tequila, lime juice, homemade grenadine syrup, angostura.

Of course, you already know your date is down with tequila because they suggested you take them out to La Contenta on Dine

4. The Penrose (1590 2nd Avenue)

Cozy decor, amazing drinks selection, and fun picnic-style tables make this the perfect date spot.

The crowd typically consists of singles in their 20s and 30s, so you and your date will fit right in. The Upper East Side location isn't totally ideal, but seriously, it's worth it for their Old Fashioned.

5. Vandal (199 Bowery)

It's all about the ambiance, right?

Right. Vandal creates a super unique date atmosphere with gorgeous painted walls and incredible artwork featured throughout the space. A great tapas and cocktail menu doesn't hurt, either.

The space books up fast, so be sure to make a reservation.

6. La Esquina Corner Deli (114 Kenmare Street)

If you and your date want to feel swanky, hit up La Esquina.

It's apparently frequented by celebrities, and in order to get a drink at the bar, you have to make reservations in the exclusive restaurant area in the back.

Shouldn't be hard to get a date interested in going there, and if you need a solid jumping off point, you need to check out DineDine is the best way to get a date, period. More though, you can get a date that wants to check out this swanky little bar with you because you'll get matched that way.

It's worth jumping through hoops for, though. The margaritas are on point.

7. Employees Only (510 Hudson Street)

neighborhoodbar

You might have to fight for a space at this teensy speakeasy, but it's totally worth it.

The drinks are killer. You can expect signature cocktails with inventive names like the "Maserati" (gin, basil, apple liqueur, lemon juice and chamomile) and the "Lazy Lover" (Levon cachaça and jalapeño infused green chartreuse, Benedictine fresh lime juice, agave nectar).
