This fierce heat wave has New Yorkers resorting to the usual measures to avoid getting the cranks. We’ve also found a couple of new ones.
So in addition to that Ice Cream Museum and the cool speakeasies we’re using to conquer the heat, we’re also pretty into pools. Who isn’t?
A sixty-foot pool just dropped at the William Vale Hotel in North Brooklyn. That’s the longest pool in NYC.
Time Out reports that the pool opened early Wednesday night to host a fundraiser for +POOL, which is a pool that floats.
We are not kidding you. So this event will go down as pretty cool, and once +POOL’s arrival upstages it, expect some serious deets to drop about when and where this super-amazing floating pool will appear.
We're crossing our fingers that this miracle invention debuts before the next apocalyptic heat wave happens.
The hotel will open later this month, and make their stupendous views available in tandem with Leuca, a Southern Italian restaurant from Andrew Carmellini (The Dutch, Bar Primi), and Westlight, a rooftop bar with a tremendous view of the city next to McCarren Park.
The ‘Gram has dropped some dope pics, so once you’re done booking your reservation, get amped for one more summer shebang.
