If you're lucky enough to land a date this summer (because let's be honest, dating isn't EZ) you probably want it to be cool, right?
Right. But if you're already nervous AF about this new opportunity, then the pressure only becomes heightened when you need to suggest a place for said date.
And if you come up with an innovative first date idea, you just might get a second date!
Well okay, we can't actually promise your date will like you. But we can promise that these date ideas totally rock.
So listen, since we care about your social wellbeing, we compiled this list of potential date ideas for you. Go get 'em, you beautiful creature, you. And let us know if that second date happens...
1. Outdoor Concerts
Let's hope that your date likes music. And if he/she doesn't, then you need to find a better date. Think about it, how can you be with someone who doesn't know every single lyric to every A Day To Remember song (Hint: You can't)?!

2. Tipsy Taco Fest
If you and your date like tequila, tacos, guacamole, and all things good in this world, then you need to check out NYC's first EVER tipsy taco fest. I'm not gonna tell you to come, but I'm telling you to come. Ya feel?
3. Oyster Hopping
Do you have a bucket list? No? Okay well then let us help you start one. Take your date on an oyster hunt. Ambitious? Maybe. Packed with aphrodisiac-based fun, checking out these oyster joints will certainly help you seem cooler.
- Maison Premiere (298 Bedford Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11211)
- Desnuda (122 E 7th St, New York, NY 10009)
-The Ten Bells (247 Broome St, New York, NY 10002)
4. Pick up a game at a Ping Pong Bar
Buzzed table tennis, anyone?
If you have a competitive nature, try taking your date to SPiN. No, it's not a cycle class. That would be weird, unless you're into that kind of stuff. This place is probably different from most other places you thought of, so make sure you play it off as if you come here all the time. You're sure to impress.
5. Stroll down South Street Seaport
This place rocks and is getting better as the months pass. This summer, South Street Seaport is even hosting free concerts. What's better than taking your date out to dinner at The Tuck Room and spontaneously walking out to a live jazz band?! Not sure, but let us know how it goes.
6. Visit a Biergarten
Ok, so this isn't NYC but it's close enough. Jersey City's Lutze Biergarten is not only in a stunning location on the Hudson River with vast views of the city, it's easy to get to. Merely minutes from Lower Manhattan via the PATH to Exchange Place, you and your date (and friends) can chill out fireside with draft beers, large AF pretzels, and even bacon-wrapped hot dogs. #LIVING.
