If there's any New Yorker stereotype that's wholly accurate– it's that we take our coffee pretty damn seriously.
So of course, September 29th, National Coffee Day, is considered to be the holiest of holidays here in NYC.
Some describe kawfee as a liquid hug for your brain and there's no reason why you shouldn't get this FREE hug on National Coffee Day!
Below are some spots where you can score a free caffeine boost– live ya life!
1. Pourt (35 Cooper Square)
The team at Pourt are serving up a free small coffee of your choice! Just visit their East Village hotspot for a complimentary cup of Intelligentsia coffee– no strings attached! You might be tempted to pair your coffee with a warm pastry or a delicious snack from their menu.
2. Le Petit Parisien (32 East 7th Street or 249 East 53rd Street)
They're offering free coffee with any pastry or sandwich purchase, all day. Check out one of their two locations to claim your free cup of coffee made with French Malongo beans.
3. Trademark Taste + Grind (36 West 36th Street)
Prefer your kawfee cold? Trademark Taste + Grind is giving away a free serving of limited edition Cold Brew Soft Serve w/ Mocha Crumble all day. The soft serve is made in house, and is double-caffeinated with cold brew infused soft serve and Four J Coffee crumbly topping. YUM.
4. Dunkin' Donuts (Everywhere)
Dunkin' Donuts will give you a free medium coffee with any purchase of a medium, large, or extra large cup. Bring some joy to your favorite colleague.
5. Starbucks (Everywhere)
While they're not offering any freebies, Starbucks will donate a coffee tree for every brewed up of Mèxico Chiapas coffee that is purchased on September 29th. In light of everything going on with the weather, every little bit helps.
6. Whole Foods (Everywhere)
Since September 22nd will mark the first day of Fall, you can now drink your (basic) autumnal beverage without feeling ashamed on 9/29. Whole Foods will be offering $1 off a 16 oz Pumpkin Spice Latte.[Feature Image Courtesy Dunkin Donuts]
