Sometimes you need alcohol, and you need it soon, but you really can't spare the time to run out to the bodega for some booze, or you just plain don't want to.

If you're an Amazon Prime member, you're in luck.

Amazon just announced that they would be delivering beer, wine, and spirits through its Prime Now mobile app to users in Manhattan.

Amazon has already launched this service in its home city of Seattle. They would like to expand this service to more areas, however, individual state liquor regulations pose a slight hurdle.

Although they acquired a liquor license in Seattle, they are choosing to rely on "delivery service providers, who have all applicable permits," and who are "delivering on behalf of the licensed merchants."

They plan on offering hundreds of different alcoholic selections for Prime users' consumption.

If you don't have Prime (it costs $99 a year), but still want your booze delivered to your door, you can still use some of these apps.

However, if you are a Prime member, the one-hour delivery cost is $7.99, but the two-hour delivery does not have an extra cost. It's booze on the move, and we're totally into it.
