Everyone knows about Eataly. It's one of the hottest indoor food markets in all of this great big city.
What's that? You're not familiar with Eataly? Well, let us explain. It's essentially a must-do for New Yorkers who can't get enough of the best food on earth. We're referring to Italian food, of course.
Now Eataly, the largest Italian marketplace in the world, has a new pop-up restaurant for this winter season only.
It's called Baita, and it'll be on Eataly's roof from December through March. It's made of wooden walls, and topped with a stone slab roof, so it feels just like you're in a ski lodge in the Italian Alps.
Basically, Baita is a lovely, cozy dwelling where you can escape the elements and frenzy of the city while you munch on delicious, carefully prepared food this season.
Since we all know cold weather is a bummer, we're really glad we'll have such a pleasant escape this season. New York City's innovators have done it again, and once more we don't even have to to leave this city to feel like we've travelled somewhere else on the planet.
You'll step from the busy, rushed, bright city streets of New York City into the rustic, calm, seemingly remote ambiance of Baita.
They'll even serve bucolic food like polenta, house-made sausage (it makes our stomachs rumble to just think about), and drinks like mulled wine that'll get you twisted, Italian Alps style.
Plus, it's basically the most festive environment we could think of.

laurenscala Love what you've done with the place @eatalybirreria! #Baita officially opens today! #WinterRooftop #NYC 🎿❄️🍻
No, there are no nearby hills of grazing sheep and unfortunately, the stars will be just as blocked by light pollution as ever before, but there is a retractable glass roof, and stunning views of the neighboring Flatiron building and the city's skyline.
That's almost as good, right? Everyone knows that NYC has essentially swapped sights of the stars for that stunning skyline, anyway.
For everyone who's obsessed with authentic Italian food, and could use a break from the pace of the city this season, make sure you check out Baita. This season is your only shot.
You can browse the delectable-looking food and drink menus, plus make a reservation here.
