You're probably familiar with all the stunning, decadent Christmas trees shining their decorous goodness all throughout New York City this holiday season.

With each of these trees usually comes a pretty equally stunning tree lighting ceremony

What would the holiday season be if it didn't come with celebrations to mark the occasion?

In case you haven't heard, the tree lighting ceremony at South Street Seaport is this evening!

Today is first day of the most festive month, so it makes sense that this gorgeous tree would have its ceremony on day one of the most celebratory month of the year.

This year will mark the 32nd Annual Seaport Tree Lighting, and it'll be hosted this year by Lauren Scala of NBC 4 New York.

The lighting will feature the lighting of a 60-foot Christmas tree, in addition to several breathtaking musical performances.

Performances include: a cappella group, The Mistletoes, gospel youth group Livre, Connell Cruise, the Mariners’ Temple Baptist Church Choir, American Idol Winner Nick Fradiani, and of course, Santa. We mean, what would a tree lighting ceremony be without Santa?
