The MTA definitely wants you to get into the holiday spirit! 

They recently announced that they'd be spreading the yuletide cheer by rolling out the "Shoppers Special," or vintage subway trains that'll run during the holiday season. 

But what about spreading the magic of the holidays on the streets of New York?

The MTA certainly doesn't want the patrons of their above ground transportation to be left out.

They've added vintage buses to NYC routes that are typically displayed at the New York Transit Museum to routes across the city.

"Seeing these vintage buses in service again is always a nostalgic event for many New Yorkers," said Darryl Irick, President of MTA Bus Company and Senior Vice President New York City Transit Department of Buses.

These buses range from those used in the 1940s to the 1980s.

We're not so sure that these buses will make transportation faster, but it will definitely make it a bit more exciting, right?
