Christmas is saved.
Everybody knows that Santa decided to give his elves the year off, pack up his reindeer and sit this Christmas out in some place tropical because Starbucks didn't include anything having to do with his birthday on their red "holiday cups."
He was understandably upset, but temporarily cheered by remembering that Dunkin' Donuts has always had "Joy" cups around the holidays, so he may or may not be coming down the chimney, kids. It's too soon to tell.
We need to give Santa some space to let him explore his feelings.
But we're now more hopeful than ever that Kringle will be airborne come the night of the 24th, and it's all because of one man.
Richard Herrera is an illustrator, musician, video editor-- just a man of many talents from Washington Heights who stepped up to the plate, and is singlehandedly saving Christmas.
