Ok, ok, so the whole history of the holiday is pretty whacked and fantasized to glide over the pretty horrific massacre of the Native Americans that ensued for centuries thereafter, but it's also a time to give thanks for the bounty (however large or small) that we have today.
We're insanely grateful for a particular feathery being that (when cooked) tastes like all of our holiday hopes and dreams have come true.
