Last night at 10 p.m., in the wake of the tragedy in France, the Empire State Building went dark to honor the victims of the devastating terror attacks in Paris.
It is unclear how many more nights, if any at all, the New York City iconic building will remain dark.
The Eiffel Tower will also go dark on Saturday night and close indefinitely, in honor of those who lost their lives in Paris yesterday. (The landmark usually marks the passing of each hour at night with a light show.)
One World Trade Center's spire, on the other hand, will light up in blue, white, and red nightly for the foreseeable future, as a way to commemorate those killed in France's capital last night.
