Friday, November 13th

Body painting, though? Are you serious? Yes, we're serious, and we wholeheartedly believe this activity will be a blast.
Have you ever had an opportunity to slather your significant other in neon paint before? Oh, no, you haven't? Well you should probably take this opportunity then, shouldn't you?

They'll have beer. They'll have paint. They'll also have UV light. You'll smear glow in the dark paint over your canvas (AKA ... your person) and then you'll both look amazing.
Many students go topless for the class, but it's not required. You can have your back and front torso painted instead.

2. Allegiance on Broadway (220 West 48th Street)
Have you been jonesing to see a good Broadway show? Then we have just the show for you. It's packed with amazing music (we've got mad love for that absolutely stellar conductor) and a powerful message.
Allegiance is a beautiful Asian historical musical, inspired by actor George Takei's early experience of racism in America. The play is centered around the experience of Japanese Americans living in a post-Pearl Harbor America.
It's an intense story that'll have you gripping the edge of your seat from start to finish. Lea Salonga (you know, the singing voice of Jasmine from Aladdin) is pretty incredible because, as we said, that music is pretty great.

3. NY Comedy Festival: Rory Albanese (461 West 16th Street)

Have you been to the Highline Ballroom? Well it's a stunning space, and you should probably check it out any day of the week.
We digress, though. That's not the point. The point is that Rory Albanese, nine Primetime Emmy Award Winner and the executive producer and writer for the days when Jon Stewart ran The Daily Show will be performing stand-up.

Saturday, November 14th
4. Final Outdoor Smorgasburg (50 Kent Avenue - Brooklyn)

Okay, okay, don't panic yet. Smorgasburg has teamed up with Brooklyn Flea, and they're bringing all their eccentricities indoors to Industry City for the winter months.
However, there really isn't anything like being in the great outdoors, breathing in fresh air, and chowing down hard on a ramen burger beside the East River.
So, this is your last shot, NYC! Well, your last shot until next year, that is. This Saturday, November 14th is the final outdoor Smorgasburg for the season.
So if you want one last hoo-rah, grab your pals, your appetites, and some of your well-earned cash and grub on some of the most delicious cuisine in the city, one last time until we won't be able to do it again for another year.

One of our writers was called onstage at Sex Tips for Straight Women From A Gay Man, blindfolded, and made to mime a handjob. If that doesn't sound like a wild Saturday evening to you, then we don't know what will.

It's an absolutely hilarious, three-character comedy of foolproof moves and insider advice. All three characters are at the same university. Robyn, shy and studious, Dan, a featured author, and Stefan, the hunky stage assistant.

6. Lettuce with Marco Benevento (1515 Broadway)
We love Lettuce around here. Why, you're wondering? Well we're funky cats, and they're a funk band to the core.
Do you feel like spending your Saturday night jamming the eff out, dancing to your heart's content, and pulsing to Lettuce's rhythms with everyone else packed into the Playstation Theater on Saturday night?

Plus, they'll be playing with Marco Benevento, and he's pretty great too. What's that, you can't make it Saturday? Well, don't hang your head yet, pal. It's a good thing you read this because you can adjust your schedule accordingly!
They're also playing on Friday night, once again at the Playstation Theatre, with the similarly amazing talents of Break Science at 8 p.m.

In NYC, we talk and think about the subway a lot. We mean, we have to, since we basically rely on it to get everywhere.
When it comes to the subway, there are some great subway lines and some terrible subway lines, but they're all a part of the same vibrant history.

Want to learn more about the squelching, roaring subway system that transports 4.3 million people between 469 stations every day? Great. Then join tour guide Gary Dennis as he leads the tour from the Bowling Green Station to Grand Central Terminal.

Feel like spending your Sunday funday rocking out? How does 12 hours of live music, with 10 bands sound?
Sounds pretty good to us. Jazz will meet world music at the Pangea Jazz Fest, which will be the first U.S. festival of its kind.
Drom will host this energetic event, where some of the world's best jazz musicians will absolutely bring the house down. Not literally, just figuratively, but the jamming will be way intense.
Performers include the Stephane Wrembel Band, Michele Rosewoman's New Yor-Uba, and Panagiotis Andreou's Pangea Jam Band, plus many more.
