In an effort to accumulate as many food donations as possible, the 23rd Canstruction New York contest/food drive has gained a lot of attention. 

There are 30 huge "can-sculptures" on display at the Brookfield Place Winter Garden for art, design, and canned food "can-noisseurs" to enjoy, inspiring people all around New York City to open their cupboards and donate a can or two. 

The Garden is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. everyday, and this year's exhibit runs through November 16th. 

One can-sculpture gaining lots of attention is an MTA subway-esque design of a commuter man-spreading. It's called "Be Considerate, Good Etiquette is CAN'tagious," and it was built by a team from the MTA. (We're wondering why they didn't just call it "Canspreading," but we digress.) 

Also, the subject of much intrigue is the Thornton Tomasetti-designed piece entitled, "The Charging Bull," a can-sculpture depicting Wall Street's famous bull statue. It's a can-sculpture of a statue, if you will.

And last, but certainly not least, is the depiction of can-didates, featuring Donald Trump on one side and Kanye West on the other. 

Most of the cans in the design are tuna, and it has a obvious white and red theme going on, whereas other can-sculptures feature a variety of more color.

Oh, and those visiting the exhibit are encouraged to bring cans of food for the drive, because that's the whole idea behind this. 

Restricting the medium of sculpture to cans is just a great idea to bring the theme home. Soooo... why are you still sitting on your can? Get over to this exhibit and make a difference this Thanksgiving.
