We know you are way stoked about all the holiday cheer coming at you. The Bryant Park Winter Village opened on October 30th, and as if by a domino affect the rest of New York City's holiday markets will soon be opening one by one.
That's what we really came here to discuss. It's time to start gearing up for the Columbus Circle Holiday market.
What can you do to gear up? Well, we don't know. Maybe compile a list of everyone you need to buy gifts for and start saving your money.
The Columbus Circle Holiday Market itself doesn't open until December 1st, but on November 12th it will undergo a very cheery holiday makeover. That's because November 12th is Time Warner Center's annual Holiday Under the Stars lighting ceremony.
It will be a stunning sight to behold, with twelve 14-foot stars hanging from the ceiling of the Time Warner Center's Great Room, you know, those giant, pretty stars you see twinkling all winter long.
There will also be an $8.5 million dollhouse. An $8.5 million dollhouse, at Columbus Circle for the first time ever. Astolat's Dollhouse Castle will feature 29 rooms, with 10,000 miniature pieces of furniture.
It'll be on display until December 8th, so make sure you get out and bundle up to see it.
Wait a second, though. You don't have to bundle up, do you?
Isn't it kind of weird to be all holiday-seasoned-out in the midst of this perfect, 70-degree weather? Do you feel odd holding your red Starbucks cup while wearing a T-shirt and sweating? We certainly do.
What is going on? When will the tyrannically perfect weather end?
Apparently, not anytime soon. According to the NY Post, meteorologists are predicting the 70-degree weather to last through Thanksgiving. So you probably won't have to bundle up for any of your outdoor football games, even though that's part of the fun, isn't it?
At least we'll have more time to revel in the joy of pretty fall leaves?
"These calm, sunny days are definitely extending the season a bit. People will have more of a chance to enjoy fall and really be out in it," said Deanna Curtis, a curator at the New York Botanical Garden.
As for snow? Well, you can just fugehttaboutit.
"There's a good possibility of no snow until December," said Paul Walker, a meteorologist at AccuWeather.
So, NYC, get out and see those enchanting stars hanging at Columbus Circle, and just enjoy the fact that you can wear t-shirts to do it, we guess, even though we know it's way weird.
