Some time ago, the world became infatuated with on-the-street portraits of everyday New Yorkers, curated on an Instagram page called Humans of New York.
The hook that nabbed most people was the intimacy of the humans' quotation captions, allowing strangers into their secret thoughts.
Of course, there were spinoffs, including the hilarious Millennials of New York, which catalogs images of young creative professionals and their satirically entitled sentiments, their obsession with irony and convenience, and of course the oddness of their consumption tendencies.
While Humans appears to "be for everybody," and Millennials is more aimed at an audience falling in the same demographic as the subjects of the photos, there's also People of Penn Station, apparently an Instagram page dedicated to the absurdity that is New York City transit. Check it out:
