If NYC's ambiance could be contained within a single Instagram, this would probably be it. We mean it, the flavor of NYC screams out from all these pictures.
We're chosen this photo because of its meta-trajectory. The background is metaphorically blurred while the forefront, the cell phone, captures the shot. We're also into the helicopters in the background. They're cool too.

We love this shot 7expresstrain took of the Triborough Bridge for its layers. On first glance, we're enamored by the water, we're blown away by the water's reflection and One World Trade stretching toward the sky in the background.
Plus, the Hellgate Bridge doesn't look too bad in the distance either.
What we're really into about this photo though, what really gets us going, is the sneaky boat gliding just out of the shot, and the ripples it leaves on the city's reflection behind.
This is an artfully taken shot, and One World Trade's reflection is just as tall as the actual stunner.
3. demidism
Uh, this shot of demidism standing atop the Williamsburg Bridge makes us thoroughly anxious, in the best way possible. We're afraid he's going to fall, but we're also absolutely enthralled.
No, climbing on bridges is totally not legal, but according to NYMag, Deas has never been arrested. There was a close call once while Deas was photographing a girl silhouetted against the sunset on a 53-story skyscraper, and was caught by a man and his teenage son.

The man called the police and while they waited, Deas chatted with the son about the New York Regents Exam, which he mentioned he had to take the next day. When the cops came, the man decided not to press charges.
Mad props to demidism for making us catch our breaths and giving us vertigo. Follow him, will you?

This photo that simultaneously captures the vigor of NYC, the rushing, blurred light along the highways, the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges, plus the moon. Needless to say, it really gets us going.
Do we even really need to explain why?

The Brooklyn Bridge is probably the most famous bridge in all of NYC. Built in 1883, it was a revolutionary way for people to travel between Manhattan and Brooklyn without riding a ferry. At that time, it was the longest suspension bridge in the world.

We're very into the way treyspiece captured the bridge in the forefront of this clean shot, with the Manhattan Bridge silhouetted in the background.

Specifically, we're enamored by this shot of the Queensboro Bridge. We knew the bridge was advantageous, linking Manhattan to Queens with a stop at Roosevelt Island on the way, but we didn't know this still shot of it would make us catch our breaths so comprehensively.
