Everyone loves a good glass of sangria right?
Who doesn't love to get twisted every once in a while? After getting resolutely buzzed, who doesn't love munching on some alcohol soaked fruit?
Right, everyone loves sangria.
If someone tells you they don't, they're lying. As we're descending into the darkness of winter, as the warm, lazy days of summer become the stuff of memories, we need all the delicious, fruity drinks we can get to keep us sane.
So let's toast a big pitcher of sangria to living in New York City. Oh, what's that? We need to get some sangria first?
Okay, well, read on to find out where to get the most delicious sangria in NYC below.
1. Poco (33 Avenue B)
Wow. We can't say enough about how much we love Poco; for everything from brunch to lunch to dinner. If you haven't been you've got to go soon. Like, go this weekend.
They've got speedy service and great food. Really, we could go on all day about the lobster Benedict. They've also got a bottomless pitcher option for brunch, so you can get endless pitchers of mimosas, bloody Mary's, or where the real show is at; sangria.

We know our white sangria, and we've got to say they've got the most delicious white sangria we've ever tried. It's also entirely reasonably priced, at $41 for three hours of unlimited drinks and brunch. You'll leave drunk, happy, and with a still-relatively full wallet.
You can also order a red/white sangria mix at Poco, and we've got to say it's pretty delectable as well.
2. Pata Negra (345 East 12th Street)
We basically have two requirements when it comes to sangria: cheap, and delicious. At Pata Negra, both of these are fulfilled.
They serve their sangria in a two-liter pitcher and we've got to say it's kickass in every sense of that word. They prepare it per order, which is pretty excellent to watch if you've got a view of the bar.
We will say a word or two about their food, too. Pata Negra's chorizo is completely on point, their duck salad is perfectly salted, and the octopus is tasty and tender. They've also got a really great cheese platter that comes with delicious jam.
If you want to come to a spot with great food, and sangria that's sure to get you way buzzed, Pata Negra is a great bet.
3. Alta (64 West 10th Street)

Alta is severely romantic. They've got an upstairs balcony which just shouts everlasting monogamy. Or maybe it's just the sangria that's screaming so loud about love.
They've got a variety of tapas to go perfectly with that alcoholic beverage we're all about (we're talking about sangria. Everything from fried goat cheese to bacon wrapped dates, all the way to their pork empanadas, the food at Alta will really rock your world.

We're also very into the Brussels sprouts, lamb meatballs, and the duck confit.
They don't serve their sangria by the pitcher, just the glass, but still. The glasses are large and very strong and filled completely with fruit. So you will not be disappointed.
4. Salinas (136 9th Avenue)

At Salinas, they've got these really incredible patatas bravas (which are fancy versions of hash browns) that come with a spicy brava sauce. It is too addicting. We're also all about the pico pico, the shaved asparagus salad, yellow fin tuna, grilled eggplant, and puff pastry with cheese.
When we say yum, we mean it to our very cores.
Salinas also has a retractable roof for warm autumn nights, and fresh flowers galore. The ambiance here is absolutely on point, and will remind many patrons strongly of Barcelona.
Which brings us to the main event, the moment we've all been waiting for; that dope sangria we can't stop dreaming about.
Salinas has several varieties of sangria; white wine sangria, red wine sangria, and cava sangria. All are absolutely delicious. All will get you wasted, if you're not careful. Should you try it? Absolutely. You should try it this weekend, in fact.
,5. Nai Tapas Bar (174 1st Avenue)
The mango sangria at Nai Tapas Bar is so sweet, so refreshing, and way delicious. It's got the perfect ratio of wine, to fruit, to sweetness. You may just find yourself ordering multiple pitchers.
As for the notable cuisine at this tapas bar, we just have to cast light on our favorite eats. We're very into Nai's chorizo, their coquetas, and we're all about the patatas bravas.

They've also got flamenco dancing at this festive bar, and the dancers here are so talented and passionate. Seeing them dance will definitely spread a smile onto your face.
All in all, coming out to Nai Tapas Bar makes for a very enjoyable evening. If you don't drown in sangria, that is.
6. Tertulia (359 6th Avenue)
The sangria at Tertulia has a very nice mix of fruitiness and wine. Really, if you come here you absolutely need to wash down your food with several glasses of the stuff. Get a pitcher, you won't regret it.
Tertulia's got white and red sangria options, and they're both fantastic and filled with sangria-soaked fruit.
The restaurant itself is very beautiful, and we're definitely obsessed with the tosta huevo roto. If you really want to be satisfied, get the cojonudo. It's two bites of smoked pig cheek, quail egg, and pepper. It's very excellent, and pairs wonderfully with a nice tall glass of sangria.
7. La Cerveceria (65 2nd Avenue)
We can't say enough about La Cerveceria. From the lobster guacamole to their different styles of ceviche, plus of course their Argentinian beef empanadas, you will absolutely leave satisfied.
What we mean is, their yuca fries are the crispiest, most perfectly fried yuca fries we've ever had. We're also very into the arugula salad, and the braised short ribs causas, which is a really great Peruvian potato dish.

The white sangria is pretty strong, so if you want to get your buzz on that's your best bet. It comes swirled with really tasty agave and juice. They've also got a prix fixe option of two hours of unlimed beer, wine, or sangria with a selection of five tapas.
So, if you want to chug sangria without abandon and still get your fill on delicious food, La Cerveceria is where you should be.
