Guess what, New York City? It's almost Halloween!
We know you are shocked and floored by this information, but we thought we'd let you know anyway.
We're kidding, obviously. We knew you knew it was almost Halloween. We suspect you've been getting your groove on with scary activities, planning your costume, and deciding what to do the night of Halloween.
That's right. We're talking about the actual night of Halloween. The night of Saturday, October 31st, the one day around which all this hype is centered.
Of course, you could go to the Village Halloween Parade.
It's a big deal, especially if you're thinking of participating and partying at Webster Hall afterward. Seriously, though, who wants to go to that overrated, overhyped event?
Everyone knows Webster Hall is going to be completely packed. If you're even slightly claustrophobic, it could be nightmarish.
So, we've got some alternatives for you. Read on to find out four events we think you should attend on the night of Halloween instead.

Are you picking up what we're throwin' down with the good folks from Tablelist? Avenue will be popping off on Halloween, and DJ D-Nice and DJ Reach will be spinning tunes.
What's that? You haven't experienced Avenue yet? Okay, well here it is. Avenue is a two-story lounge that's hosted private events for Marc Jacobs, Kim Kardashian, and Derek Jeter. So maybe that'll give you an idea of how excellent the space is.
There will be an open bar from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., and the alcohol will not stop flowing that entire time. Wear a costume. That is an order.

2. BangOn NYC Warehouse of Horrors

We think you should spend halloween night at the BangOn NYC Warehouse of Horrors.
It's a huge warehouse party with DJs and interactive installations. It's held in a super secret location in Williamsburg, in a sprawling industrial complex.
It'll be packed two stages, both with bumping music, a silent disco, and an incredible interactive art project (it'll send shivers down your spine). There will also be a bouncy castle, a flesh suspension show, and plenty of party people in costume.
If you sign up, the secret location will be revealed before the event via email. We're so enamored by the spooky suspense! All we can say is the party is in East Williamsburg, and that it's going to be an absolute blast.

3. Haunted Hotel at PH-D Terrace (210 West 55th Street)

The Haunted Hotel at PH-D Terrace is where it's going to be at this Halloween.
PH-D Terrace is an indoor and outdoor multi-level rooftop lounge, and on this particular evening DJ Phresh and DJ Todd Smolar will be blasting tunes.
There will be an open bar from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., because everyone knows you need to get your drink on for Halloween.
You'll also wind up pouring a lot of alcohol down your throat because of how scared you'll be. We mean it, the event will be terrifying, and not just because of all the scary costumes. You'll be scared of what a good time you're having.

4. Halloween Night at Goldbar (339 Broome Street)
Do you love decadence? What about extravagance? Do you go bonkers over how much you love vodka?
If any of the above questions applied to you, then you'll need to decide right now: do you want to go to Goldbar for Halloween?
Here's what's going down. It's going to be a wild costume party, a vodka open bar from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. and the party will bump until 4 a.m.
