How many times have you been stuck in traffic and saw cyclists and motorcyclists breeze by you, while you sit in a cab with the meter just ticking away?
You may have had the thought, "Dang, I wish I could just jump on one of those, this would go a lot faster... "
Well now you can, with the new scooter cab service called Motoconcho. Founder/driver Dustin Rodriguez drew inspiration from the moped taxis of the Dominican Republic, where people zip around quickly for cheap.
It works a lot like Uber; scheduling rides via the Motoconcho app. You may think, "Well how much does it cost?" Worry not, New Yorkers; it's cheap. There's a $1.50 pickup fee, and the minimum fare is $3.50-- which isn't all that bad, right?
