November is a big month for concerts in New York City. The holidays are coming, and the day before Thanksgiving is one of the biggest party slots of the whole year: "Blackout Wednesday".
It's kind of like "Black Friday", but instead of sales, there are drink specials. Most people don't have to work the next day, so it's basically a no-holds-barred sh*t show featuring all your relatives you never see for a reason.
If you're the "friendsgiving" type, than rejoice! You can get schwifty with all your homies and then just eat turkey the next day.
So check out what we're anticipating to be the best shows in the month of November. There's everything from old school reggae, hugely popular R&B, to whatever the hell you call Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz.

Nashville based indie/folk pop husband & wife duo will be tugging on your heart strings at Rockwood Music Hall as part of Communion NYC.
Other artists rounding out the Communion NYC lineup include Highly Suspect, And the Kids, Busty and the Bass, Carl Anderson, For Frances, Nik Greeley & the Operators, Ula Ruth, Gracie and Rachel, Michael Daves, and TOTEM (US).

Sound Tribe Sector 9, or STS9 for short, or just "Tribe" for shorter is one seminal outfit of the improvised electronic music movement of the late 90s. It's something like electronic post rock that's extremely danceable.
Along with bands like The New Deal and The Disco Biscuits, Tribe has been blazing a trail for the younger generation for about 20 years, and they aren't slowing down.

Kung Fu is a fierce funk outfit hailing from the Metro area. Their repertoire is deep; funk is just the baseline. The Fu will spiral down rabbit holes of proggy passages before returning to super tight beats, and they'll do it again and again, and surprise you every time.
Consider the Source is one band from NYC you have to experience.
The universe's first, best, and ultimate Sci-Fi Middle Eastern Fusion trio, CTS is able to blend elements you'd never thought possible. It's something like if a metal band, a funk band, a prog-rock outfit, and Bachir Attar had a baby, divided it by three and grew it into separate individuals and taught them to rage.
