What does Brooklyn in the fall mean to you?
Does it mean a haunted hotel at City Tech? How about a haunted stroll through Brooklyn Heights, or a Halloween parade at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden?
There are plenty of wild events going down this autumn in Brooklyn. We're going to need you to get our your bucket lists for this one, because we want you to try and attend them all.

1. Haunted Brooklyn Heights (October 21st)
Contrary to popular belief, Brooklyn Heights is haunted. We know, we know, it's one of Brooklyn's oldest, most charming neighborhoods but we're telling you. There are some gory, ghastly tales about the area.
On this tour, Boroughs of the Dead founder Andrea Janes will guide you through the frightening sites of the horrifying ghost stories she'll have to tell.

Those courageous enough to be a part of this ghost tour will meet at Pier 1 in Brooklyn Bridge Park on October 21st at 6:30 p.m. Prepare to get scared silly. You should probably bring a comforting pal (or a date).

2. Gravesend Inn (October 22nd - October 31st)
Want to get scared for Halloween?
Great, because The New York City College of Technology has you covered.
Held at the Voorhees Theatre on City Tech's campus (186 Jay Street) the Gravesend Inn is a high-tech haunted hotel that's sure to petrify all who dare to enter.
Gravesend Inn is produced by Theatreworks, City Tech's resident theatrical troupe. It's a theme-park quality Halloween attraction that's been terrifying its attendees since 1999.
Complete with animated characters and gory scenes, this ghastly hotel will be open on October 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 29th, 30th, and 31st. It costs $8 to visit, which we think is very relaxed for such a scary hotel.

You knew the Brooklyn Botanic Garden would throw down for Halloween, didn't you?
Yeah, we're not at surprised either. They're throwing down for Ghouls & Gourds on October 24th from 12 p.m. to 5:30 at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. It'll be a day of spectacular shows, weird workshops, meet-and-greets with local authors and illustrators, and finally, Brooklyn's craziest costume parade.

Taking part in the parade will be huge puppets, even huger drums, and stilt dancers. We've always wanted to spend the day with some stilt dancers, and now we'll finally have the chance.

4. Harvest Festival at Brooklyn Bridge Park (October 24th)

Halloween will most certainly be alive in all its splendor at Brooklyn Bridge Park, especially on October 24th from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. during Brooklyn Bridge Park's Harvest Festival.
The festival will include storytelling, arts and crafts, volleyball, and musical performances. Plus, of course, a Halloween parade.
There will also be a pumpkin patch, a photo booth, and a spooky walk. You going? We certainly are.
,5. Great PUPkin Festival (October 31st)
Are you just itching to show off your dog's Halloween costume? Do your friends not appreciate the quality of Scruffy's pumpkin costume, or the way Sparky looks exactly like Donald Trump when you dress her up?
Well, we have a solution for your apathetic friends. Everyone at the Great PUPkin Festival, held at Fort Greene Park at from on October 31st will be sure to appreciate your dog's Halloween costume.
It's the largest dog costume event in Brooklyn, and this year will be the event's 17th installment. The fact that it's going to be on the actual day of Halloween this year will just heighten the intensity.

Last year, there were 124 dogs in costume. Yes, this is a contest and yes, last year's judges were exhausted.
Registrations start at 11 a.m. at the top of the monument in Fort Greene Park, the contest will begin at noon at the bottom of the monument steps. This event is free, but Fort Greene PUPS will be glad to take a $5 donation.
6. Edible Escape (November 5th)

Plagued with wanderlust but just can't swing the cost of flights? We feel you. We also have a temporary solution.
Edible Escape, held at 26 Bridge Street on November 5th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., will transport you out of the country. Or, at least it'll transport your tastebuds.
You can be apart of this insane food festival, which will include some of the most flavorful globally inspired food and drinks prepared locally. That means food and drinks inspired by 20 different countries' cuisine.
Participants include the Brooklyn Brewery, Rooted NYC, noah's on the road, Fire Cider, and many more. They'll also be highlighting local, national, and international travel destinations to inspire your next trip.

7. Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival (November 5th - November 8th)

Showcasing emerging and established artists in Williamsburg, the Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival is a must-do for concert buffs, music enthusiasts, and electronic lovers alike.
This year's lineup includes Doctor Jeep, Daniel Avery, the Floating Points, Luke Hess, Volte-Face, and many more.

Since 2008, the BEMF has trailblazed a legacy as a unique showcase for New York's emerging talent alongside leaders of the global underground. BEMF strives to blur genre boundaries and transcend notions of underground and commercial.

Did someone say wine and food? Well, we are certainly all-ears.
Purchasing a general admission ticket to this event will get you three hours to sample more than 200 wines. You'll also get to snack on delectable hors d'oeuvres, and a selection of Brooklyn's finest artisan foods.
Put a check in the book for live music, too. The Blue Vipers of Brooklyn will perform a live jazz performance at the festival. Plus, attendees will also get a complimentary wine glass to take home.
We know, this event sounds heavenly to us too. It'll take place in Industry City: Building 4, and there will be an afternoon and a morning session on November 14th. The afternoon session will go from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and the evening session will go from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
