It's true that there are plenty of ways to scare your socks off on Halloween. New York City is bursting with haunted houses, haunted hay rides, and scary plays.

We thought so. Nothing can rival the scariness of a cemetery at night; not a hayride, not an abandoned mansion, not even a petrifying film. Nothing is scarier than a nighttime cemetery, and that's a fact.

If you answered yes, then join the New York Adventure Club on Friday, October 16th for a special access tour of Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn after it's closed to the public.

That's right. You'll be allowed admission to a cemetery during its spookiest hours; once it's completely closed off to the outside world.

The experience will include visits to the cemetery's most notable graves, sculptures and mausoleums, along with rare access into the 30 vault catacombs built in 1838.

What's even more petrifying is that you'll have no light but flashlights. Really, make sure you bring your own flashlights, a bottle of water, and comfortable shoes to run away - er, we mean to walk in. You should probably also bring someone comforting, so you know, you can hold their hand.

After the tour you'll head around the corner to Greenwood Park for food and drinks.
