Remember when our good pal Mark (Mark Zuckerberg for those of you who aren't on a first name basis with him) announced they needed a new button as a counterpart to the "like" button?
In September Mark said, "People have asked about the 'dislike' button for many years. Today is the day that I actually get to say we are working on it."
Why? Well, you know. It's really awkward to click like "like," when someone makes a status about a loved one dying or a relationship ending. Until now, though, there's been no other way to acknowledge the post besides clicking "like."
"Until now" was the operative word in that phrase there. Now-- actually now --there will be other ways to acknowledge the post. Now, we can express our anger, our humor, and our sadness.
How do we know this? Yesterday, Mark shared a video his Facebook with the caption "Meet the new Reactions."
Now, there will be Like, Love, Haha, Yay, Wow, Sad, and Angry buttons. Of course, hold your breath. They're still testing out in Ireland and Spain, so who knows a) when it will come to America, and b) what it will look like.
Someone makes a status that they just ate two burritos from Chipotle? Well, you'll still click "Like," for that. Obviously.
Someone makes a comment about another absurdly racist and impractical political suggestion from Donald Trump, or worse, believes Ben Carson is the brilliant candidate we need.
Now, we can express our anger at such statuses with the "Angry" button.

How will these play out? Well, you'll probably be less likely to get hundreds of likes on an announcement about a new promotion, for instance. Instead, you'll probably get a montage of responses, like 30 "Wows," 20 "Yays," and 60 "Likes."
Except for that b*tch Becky who didn't get the promotion. She'll probably put an "Angry" face before she un-friends you, but, screw Becky. Nobody likes her anyways.
That's just our guess though. We won't really know how the new buttons will play out until they're actually added to Facebook, will we?
