What's the point of posting up in your own neighborhood and never, ever leaving when there are thousands of bars in New York City to experience?

In service to the idea that we should all experience every neighborhood we possibly could, we compiled this list of amazing bars in each neighborhood.

We would like to state, as a disclaimer, that these are by no means the only amazing bars in the following neighborhoods. These are just the ones we're super into these days, for their relaxed vibes, good food, and relatively chill prices.

Next time you find yourself wandering around in one of the following neighborhoods with your friends, wondering Hmm, what bar should we go to next? All you need to do is check this list.

1. Washington Heights: Kazza Wine Bar (708 West 177th Street)

This delightful little wine bar opened very recently, and it's the perfect place to begin an evening out on the town or an intimate date.

It's got an extremely welcoming, non-pretentious atmosphere, which is exactly what we're going for. Its vibes are intimate, and its selection of delicious wines is extensive. 

They've also got craft beer and some delicious bites, and it's the size of a whole-in-the-wall dive bar with all the class and sophistication of any upscale wine bar. You'll have fun here, we guarantee it.

2. East Harlem: The Lexington Social (1634 Lexington Avenue)

This East Harlem gem's got a lot of drinks, tapas, and excellent service. They've also got great happy hour deals, and some of the most delicious brunch on the island of Manhattan. 

As for tapas, tapas are life. In all seriousness, we'd recommend the spinach ricotta dumplings and the truffle fries. Don't even get us started on their pesto mozzarella flat bread, because we could go on all day about that.

They've also got delicious cocktails. The Lexington Social is an excellent after-work joint.

3. West Harlem: Harlem Tavern (2153 Frederick Douglass Boulevard)

The food at Harlem Tavern is excellent. They've got a delicious lamb burger, amazing juicy pulled pork, and some really great sweet potato fries. They've also got a fixed brunch price of $14.95.

We didn't come here to talk about the food, though. We came here to talk about the drinks. 

The vibe and energy at Harlem Tavern is completely on point, and the music is great. The drink prices here are completely relaxed, too, which is always a blast. They've also got a great happy hour, and outdoor picnics.

4. Murray Hill: Tuttles (735 Second Avenue)

Tuttles is one of the chillest bars in midtown, with a happy hour that lasts until 7 p.m., with decent beer prices ($5 per beer) and $6 cocktails that'll make your whole after-work crew happy.

They've also got a really lovely back garden with picnic tables and umbrellas for shade. They've also got pretty excellent nachos and dollar oysters. Plus, we've got to shout out their calamari, guacamole, hummus, and skewers.

5. Hell's Kitchen: Pony Bar (357 West 44th Street)

We've absolutely got to shout out Pony Bar. Not just because of their French onion soup or their buffalo chicken dumplings, though neither of those are anything to shake a stick at.

The main reason we're enamored by Pony Bar is its insane beer selection. They've got tons of beers on tap every night, and even these rotate throughout the night. Even if you're the world's most extreme beer aficionado, you can still expect something new every time you come in.

Every beer costs $6, and the ones with higher alcohol content are served in smaller glasses. Still, it's pretty easy to get smashed at this perfect treasure of a bar.

6. West Village: Johnny's Bar (90 Greenwich Avenue)

Oh, Johnny's Bar. By far our favorite bar in the West Village, Johnny's Bar is conveniently located between the West Village and the Meatpacking District. 

It's got a semi-busted neon sign announcing its presence in the world, which makes this bar even more endearing. It's got a relaxed atmosphere, and it's casual and friendly. Which isn't something we could say about many West Village bars. For instance, their Rolling Rocks cost $3.50. 

Could you say that about anywhere else in the West Village?

Also, if you're from San Francisco and you miss home, they've got Anchor Steam on tap. Just saying.

7. East Village: Niagra (112 Avenue A)

Niagra has everything anyone could want. They've got a downstairs speakeasy called Lovers of Today, with fancy, expensive cocktails and an intimate atmosphere.

Then, they've got their upstairs section. In the front is their bar, where you can chill, take shots, and make new friends. They've also got a photo booth in the front, which is fun even though we all have photo booths on our cell phones now.

The back is really where it's at though. Every weekend evening you'll find oldies music bumping from the speakers at Niagra, and a raging dance party with fun, happy people. If you're tipsy and looking to turn up in the East Village, plus you like to have fun, Niagra is definitely what we'd recommend.

8. Financial District: Stout (90 John Street)

The chicken fingers at Stout are amazing.

Okay, now that we've gotten that out of the way, let's talk about the atmosphere. It is a bit of a corporate sports bar vibe here, but what else could you expect in the Financial District? This is definitely among the most laid back bars you will ever find in FiDi.

They've got a huge selection of beers on tap, many of which craft, and an even longer selection of bottled beers. 

This bar is cavernous and clean, with dark wood paneling and a giant interior. They've also got loaded fries that are absolutely to die for.

9. SoHo: Broome Street Bar (363 West Broadway)

Again, this is probably the most relaxed bar you could possibly find in SoHo. With delicious burgers, addicting nachos, and amazing brownie sundaes, enjoying a bite to eat with your cold beverage isn't a terrible idea at the Broome Street Bar.

Especially if you order the taco salad. The taco salad is a must.

There's also a great selection of music on their jukebox, gorgeous stained glass windows, and a pretty relaxed crowd with an old school vibe.

The point is, a trip to SoHo isn't complete without a stopoff at the Broome Street Bar. It just isn't.
