Today marks just another change in the ever-evolving landscape of greasy fast food. No, we're not talking Chick-fil-a. That was yesterday. Today's change aims to correct a long overdue-- entirely fictional --pop-culture injustice.

You remember that scene in Big Daddy where Adam Sandler takes the kid (that he never should have been near to begin with) to McDonald's for breakfast, but because they're like maybe 2 minutes late, they don't get it?

Except they're actually 32 minutes late, which begged the question: Why the hell does McDonald's end breakfast at 10:30 a.m. instead of 11 a.m.? Thankfully, that's no longer an issue.

Yes, McDonald's now has breakfast. All day. Every day. Any. Time. Of. The. Day.

Now, before you get a little too rowdy, there's a bit that we learned that can help you avoid any nagging disappointment you'll experience when you get to the counter and they tell you, "Sorry, kid. We don't serve McGriddles all day."

That's right. You get one good cry in this life, and if it's over McDonald's not serving "McGriddles" all day, well, you may have picked a good moment. Because it sucks. It really does.

Now, to be fair, they did tell us that it was because of the way the "McGriddle" is prepared every morning, and logistically it wasn't entirely feasible to continue making them throughout the day. We're not ready to forgive them for it, but we'll definitely accept their apology.

As far as features unique to New Yorkers go, well, we're sitting far north of the Mason-Dixon (also known as the Biscuit Line), so the breakfast menu will retain the "McMuffin", while Southerners will still revel in the flaky goodness of a good ol' biscuit.

Oh, and as for the rest of the world freaking out over not having hash browns with their all-day breakfast? Well, rest easy New Yorkers. We're in that 90% of the market that will have hash browns all day. Every day. Until we die.

You're probably wondered how they launched though. Like, what, did they go out and get a number of NYC celebrities like former Jets Wide Receiver Wayne Chrebet and Knicks legend John Starks to promote their all-day breakfast? Nobody's that crazy, right?

Oh man, you're so wrong. McDonald's is that crazy.

Crazy enough to bring in the incredible R&B talents of Bridget Kelly, a dope marching band and drumline, and a McDonald's "Super Choir" to rework the lyrics of Pharrell's "Happy" into a clever jingle praising the magnificence of McDonald's breakfast, crescendoing into the quintessential jingle of an entire generation, "Badabababa...I'm Loving It!"

That kind of crazy. Crazy enough to think that all day breakfast is just crazy enough to work.

You might even be wondering why they wanted to serve breakfast all day. Is it just to drive more sales? You might even be touching near the big-picture question, "Won't the cheapness of breakfast foods encourage more people to buy those than their actual lunchtime combos? Couldn't they lose money?"

While entirely valid, you need only address these concerns with the more pressing question: Haven't you ever had a dream of a McDonald's hash brown patty at 3:00 p.m.? Haven't you wanted hot cakes for dinner? Haven't you wanted McDonald's B-FD? Don't these dreams deserve fulfillment?

Yes. They do. All day. Every day. Breakfast never sleeps at McDonald's, and neither should you. Seriously, they won't let you sleep there.
