Do you love pizza? Stupid question. Sorry. That was stupid. Of course you want pizza.

How could you not? Pizza is everything wonderful about the world. When the going gets tough, there is always pizza. Really, we mean it. What better way is there to conclude a tough day than by eating seven or eight slices of pizza?

There are plenty of iconic spots for pizza in New York City. There's Artichokes, Grimaldi's, there's Di Fara. Here's our question, New York: How many have you actually been to?

Part of the journey of being a New Yorker is crossing as many pizza joints off your bucket list as humanly possible. We know it's hard, because they're all so spread out.

What if, however, we told you on Wednesday night more than 50 of New York's most excellent pizza joints would be serving their slices for a dollar a slice, all under one roof?

What if we said you could be a part of this? That for only a dollar a pop you could try as many slices as you could fit in your stomach? (Well, you can only have ten ... but hopefully you'll be full by then).

What if not only that was that true, but also that all of this amazing pizza eating was for charity?

Yeah, we just might die from happiness too, except if we died we wouldn't be able to go to Slice Out Hunger. So we're not going to die from happiness. We're going to hold on. Hang in there. Let pizza find us. We're just going to feel really, really happy.

Slice Out Hunger is NYC's biggest pizza party, and it's going down on Wednesday, October 7th at 6 p.m. The locale is The Lower Hall, which is located at 155 Sullivan Street.

Slice Out Hunger's goal is to support hunger relief initiatives by fundraising through America's most excellent industry: the pizza industry. It's a nonprofit corporation run by pizza lovers and pizza industry professionals, all of whom are fighting hunger across the United States.

thezareport The most epic #pizza party is just 1 week away! Come take a bite out of my crust (yup... I'm the slice of the event everyone wants to bite!) for a fantastic cause at @sliceouthunger in NYC. lines form early, slices for $1 from a ton of NYC's favorite pizzerias... 100% of proceeds go to @foodbank4nyc #thezareport #pizza #nycpizza #pizza4good #sliceouthunger #pizzaparty #nycpizza #hotpizza

All you have to do to participate is show up. You will have to buy a $1 ticket at the door with cash and exact change only, so we'd highly, highly suggest bringing a lot of one dollar bills.

Once you're into the event, you'll have to exchange dollar bills for red tickets, which get you pizza, and blue tickets, which get you drinks, desserts, and entrance into their raffle.

Slice Out Hunger is going to be an incredible event, and we daresay you'll regret not going. If you want to scope out the pizza map beforehand, you can check it here.
