We know you're going to go wild over this. We already have.
It's not some grand mystery that this city is expensive. How much are you spending on rent? We know that's a dumb, annoying question, but odds are it's probably a lot.
So whenever we can, we love to have fun for free. We love to get that return investment on our tax dollars when the city throws fun events.
With that idea in mind, we've compiled another installment of free fall in New York City for you to go wild. We've got concerts, comedy shows, exercise classes and movie series.
Basically, the following 11 events are the best way to make this the best autumn of your entire life. If you loved this, you'll absolutely love the free fall activities we shouted out in September.
1. Monster Mash-up Movie Series (various locations)
This just in: summer movie series are not the only dope movie series in NYC anymore. Yes, that's right. There will be petrifying Halloween movies playing in Brooklyn's parks throughout the month of October, and we could not be more excited.
Get a blanket, get some hot apple cider (maybe put some whiskey in it... but we didn't tell you that) and bring all your friends.
Shaun of the Dead is playing at the West Lawn in Sunset Park on October 9th. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is playing at Dyker Beach on October 10th.

2. The Staten Island Ferry (Whitehall Ferry Terminal)
It's getting chilly out there, and soon this gorgeous, free ferry ride won't be pleasant at all.
For now, though, it's heaven. You're on a big boat, whipping through the New York Harbor, surrounded by a shock of fall foliage and a bright blue river.
Why would you and your friends pay $60 for a ride on Circle Line Cruises when you could, instead, take a ride on the Staten Island Ferry for free?
Plus, they sell beers for $3 or $4, which is not only an excellent price compared to so many other boats in this city, but, you know, anywhere on land, too.
3. Broken Comedy (557 Manhattan Avenue - Brooklyn)

Every Monday night at 8:30 p.m. Broken Comedy puts on a free show in the back room of Bar Matchless.
It's hosted by Michael Che, Nimesh Patel and Mike Denny. Some of NYC's most hilarious comedians storm the stage, raving about all aspects of existence, while the crowd peels into uncontrollable laughter.
Does this sound fun to you? We thought so. Get there early, because the place fills up.
4. The Brooklyn Bridge

Contrary to popular belief, you do not need to pay $30 for admission to any of the observatories at One World Trade, the Empire State Building, or the Rockefeller Center.
You can get incredible city views absolutely without charge.
All you have to do is make your way to the Brooklyn Bridge and stroll over it. You'll get some of the most gorgeous views in the city, right from the middle of the bridge, completely for free.
Do us a favor and pause in the middle of your walk to look around and marvel at how completely perfect it is to live in NYC, will you?
5. Opera on Tap (various locations)
Do you love listening to opera, but hate paying exorbitant prices for admission to swanky opera halls?
We feel the same, which is why we're very stoked about the existence of Opera on Tap, an organization that's committed to providing performance opportunities to young opera artists. They're the largest network of operatic performing artists in the country.

6. Stargaze on the Highline (the Highline at West 14th Street)

This isn't just sitting around at the benches on the Highline and looking up into a starless light polluted sky. Although we could imagine ways that would be fun.
Stargazing on the Highline, however, offers you the ability to gaze at the stars, planets, and moon through high powered telescopes. For free, every Tuesday during October from dusk to 11 p.m.

,7. Concerts at Rockwood Music Hall (196 Allen Street)

If you're a music buff, this concert venue is perfect for getting glimpses of the hottest up-and-coming talent in our musical city.
You could check their schedule here, but we've also had pretty good luck with just showing up.
8. Yoga to the People (various locations)
We've said it before, and we'll probably say it again. Going to Yoga to the People will change your life.
This donation-based yoga is everything good there is in the world. Really, you don't have to leave a single cent if you don't want to, but they're so amazing you'll definitely be tempted to leave a couple bucks.

9. Shows at UCB (various locations)

Some comedy and improve shows at the United Citizens Brigade - the place from which many famous comedians like Tina Fey and Amy Poehler emerged, are totally free.
Which shows, you're wondering? Their weekly Improve Nerds Jam at their East Village Location goes down Monday nights at 10:30 p.m., and it's totally free. Their Chemistry show on Tuesday nights at their East Village location at 11 p.m. is free.
Their famous Asssscat 3000 at their Chelsea location on Sundays at 9:30 p.m. is free.

10. Hester Street Fair (Hester and Essex)
The Hester Street Fair is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Saturday through October 31st (except October 3rd).
It's NYC's largest pushcart market, and brings together amazing vendors in a vibrant outdoor fair.
They've got delicious food like lobster rolls and ice cream sandwiches, vintage clothes, homemade jewelry, and home goods.
If you're looking for a Saturday afternoon fall stroll with your palls, we're pretty sure you just found it.
11. Art in Odd Places (14th Street)
The tenth annual installment of this public art and performance festival is absolutely free. Their mission is to present visual art and performance in unexpected, public places. So they'll be parading their artistic brilliance this year all across 14th Street, from Avenue C to the Hudson River.
They'll have a selection of the artists' projects on Friday, October 10th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Pedro Albizu Campos Plaza. They'll have workshops, teach-ins, dialogues, and performances from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday October 11th on East 14th Street between Avenues B and C.
Then they'll have discussions and an endnote on October 12th from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Check the full schedule for free public programming here.
