We've said it before and we'll say it again: New Yorkers are inextricably obsessed with coffee. It's common knowledge that we drink way more coffee than anyone else. Does this obsession stem from the fact that we sleep way less than everyone else?
Probably, but we'd like to think we nurture a genuine love for coffee, too. New York City is absolutely bursting with amazing coffee shops with sick vibes, if you haven't heard.
So for all you coffee obsessives out there, we have some really, really great news for Tuesday: It's National Coffee Day.
That said, there's a little tradeoff. We love free stuff. You love free stuff. We know. We feel you. It's okay. Keep calm. But it might not be the day to hit up your favorite independent coffee shops.
We never thought we'd say this, but a lot of coffee chains are offering deals to celebrate National Coffee Day, and visiting one of those awful coffee chains for your caffeine jolt on Tuesday morning might just be the move.

We're sort of peeved that Starbucks couldn't offer us anything. Like, not even a free cake pop, Starbucks?
It's fine though, Starbucks. We're not mad. We'll just grab a free cup of coffee at Dunkin' Donuts instead. We always liked them better.
Or, we'll just go to the coffee shop that's closest to our subway.
